Galangal is a tuber which can live on highland or lowland. Usually people use galangal for spices and traditional medicines. Galangal is from India, then spread to Asia. Adult galangal height is 2 metre upwards. A young stem goes out as a shoots from base of the old stem. They have singular leaf, short stalk, elongated leaf, the sharp tip, the blunt base, and the edges are flat. Flowers on low part stalk are more than top stalk. The flowers petal are like bell with witheish green color. The fruit is round and hard, young fruit is green color and brown color when they old. The tuber smell is nice and the color is red and white.
